My name is Noah Winkel, and I am proud to introduce myself as the president of TaasaUW. I joined Taasa Health because of its community-led and volunteer-driven initiatives as well as its commitment to making an effective and sustainable impact on comnities in rural Uganda. When the average paycheck in a region is less than a cup of coffee, even college students can create meaningful change. I hope to build TaasaUW into a fundraising powerhouse. I would love to have you on our team.

Rabea Tahir (She/Her)
Vice President
Year: Sophomore
Major: Biochemistry, Data Science
Hometown: New York, New York
Favorite Song: Poetic Justice (Kendrick Lamar)
Email: rtahir@wisc.edu
As a pre-med student, I have seen the socioeconomic gap in medicine during my time working in hospitals and ambulances. However, this gap can be more pronounced in third-world countries, yet it remains overlooked. I helped co-found Taasa because I believe making a difference by volunteering in healthcare is more than short-term trips abroad; it is working directly with the local community and addressing actual needs. With our upcoming events, we hope you join us for a good time and a great cause.

Hi! My name is Rey, and I am a sophomore who is majoring in Psychology & Data Science at UW-Madison. I hope to work in the field of emergency response after university. I joined TaasaUW because I strongly believe that no one should be denied medical care, and the importance of working to ensure that underserved communities receive the necessary funding and resources to provide life saving services. Outside of school, I love camping, going for runs, reading webtoons, and making balloon animals.

Favorite Song: The Moring (The Weekend)
Email: asrizvi2@wisc.edu
Hi Hi!! I’m Ayesha, a neurobiology major and criminal justice certificate junior here at UW–Madison. I’m also a proud member of TaasaUW. I got involved because I care a lot about the ethics of volunteerism, and I felt like Taasa really did align with my values. Since I’m planning to go into healthcare, I believe access to it is a human right, and Taasa gives me a way to support underserved communities. Outside of research and classes, you’ll usually find me watching a show, tackling escape rooms, or doing something artsy. I’m pretty go-with-the-flow, so I’m always down to try new things!
